Well the Atlanta Falcons coach resigned today to take the head coaching job at Arkansas. Now I have read that the way he did it was classless and he left the team hanging this far into the season but I do not agree. I believe the behavior of the idiot players on this team or at least quite a few of them showed that this organization is out of control.
First the coach comes into the job situation believing he will have Michael Vick as his QB. Well turns out Mr. Vick was not such a nice person he made out to believe. He ran an illegal dog fighting operation for 6 years out of a house in VA. So he gets sent to the poky, good riddance. Now even though Vick plead guilty in a court of law and was sentenced to less that half of the time he could have gotten some of his former "teammates" feel it was unjust.
Alge Crumpler the starting Tight End has over and over stated how bad he feels for Vick and how he is not a bad guy and doesn't deserve what is happening to him. Mr. Crumpler you should just grow up and realize that if you do the crime you do the time.
DeAngelo Hall starting Corner Back for the Falcons, at the start of the Monday Night Football game, brings out a Michael Vick poster to show his support. DUH! hello he was just sentenced following a guilty plea by Michael Vick, why are you supporting him like this on the day he is sentenced. Pathetic typical thug behavior for a professional athlete. This is the same player who earlier in the season racked up 65 yards in penalties on 1 drive alone to allow the opponent to get in for the winning score then yelled at the coach on the sideline when he was told what an IDIOT he was. I mean he cost his team the whole game with his actions.
Roddy White starting Wide Receiver for the Falcons, actually finds a way to hang on to a pass for a touchdown (which is newsworthy in its own right since he usually drops anything coming his way) raises his shirt after the TD and shows hand scrawled lettering to "Free Mike Vick". Again this is the same day he was sentenced after pleading guilty!!!! Do these idiots just not get how life works or are they that spoiled where they have to behave in such a boorish manner?
Joe Horn another starting Wide Receiver for the Falcons helps Roddy White pull up his jersey to show the hand scrawled message. You are a veteran of the league brought in by the Falcons to provide the "veteran presence" for the young receiving core and you think this is how you do that? You are now Captain Idiot of the Falcons squad.
And at least 2 of these yahoos Crumpler and Hall have publicly questioned and gone behind Coach Petrino's back to the media whining about the new coach this year. So obviously the Falcons have not done a very good job of drafting players who have any sort of decent moral fiber and they are paying for it and I do not blame this coach for high tailing it out of town. He came in expecting to coach men to a division championship and hopefully a Super Bowl and found out instead that he had a locker room full of thugs, idiots, and malcontents. Coach I am just glad you got the chance to escape that pit of doom.
This coming from a UGA Bulldog fan, I hope you do have success at Arkansas (except when playing UGA) and I hope you can just forget the last year having to deal with these overpaid underclassed pathetic excuses for members of society who are paid so much to play a game and instead have to act like fools.

Michael Vick - Update
Well it's finally over Mr. Vick has been sentenced to 23 months for his role in being the crime boss for a dog fighting ring. Considering the other sentences for those involved I feel it is appropriate. Though if you were to check out the comments on any of the sports sites you would think that this was nothing other than a race issue and Mr. Vick was being railroaded.
I couldn't disagree more. Let's just actually look at the facts of the case:
1. He started this operation 6 years ago after signing his first contract with the Falcons. (6 YEARS AGO!!!!)
2. When confronted by the authorities, he continually lied to the authorities, during interviews with the media, the Falcons and the commissioner of the NFL Roger Goodell.
3. There were 2 co-defendants who implicated Vick of participating in the killing of under performing dogs.
4. There is a history of bad behavior from Vick. Infecting a women with herpes without telling her he had it, while using an alias in the relationship. The dope scented water bottle at the Miami airport. And now the dog fighting charges, which he plead guilty too!
5. He failed a drug tested and admitted using marijuana while out on bail awaiting his trial and sentencing. (kind of makes it look like even more of a cover up there in Miami now doesn't it!)
I said in an earlier post that if he is found guilty he should be thrown out of the NFL for good. After cooling off I am going to change this though. Once out of the poky if Vick actually show remorse does some donating to the Humane Society or ASPCA (NOT PETA!!!!!) and maybe does some public service work for the Humane Society or ASPCA (NOT PETA!!!!) then it should be at the discretion of the league and the commissioner whether he deserves another chance at playing. Truthfully I never expected the case to go this far, I was expecting some cop out from the legal system as so often happens with celebrities now a days. But he was given a fair sentence so once his time is served and if some team wants that baggage then they should feel free to sign him to a contract, though they have to realize the protests which will occur by PETA (MORONS!!!!) if he ever is signed.
I hope he does take the time to realize and learn from his mistakes and that he comprehends the unbelievable fall he has take from grace. Maybe, just maybe he will wake up turn his life around and contribute to society. If he makes amends and supports those groups working to stop something like dog fighting that would be a huge step. And if he makes it back to the NFL after that then I say let him be and let him play and earn a living at it. Somewhere, sometime, there has to be a story of someone turning their life around after a mistake and this would be a good lesson for the younger players about how not to get into trouble and if they do how to work their way back into the folds of society.

Ronald McDonald House's -The Best
Wow, what an incredible charity this is. The Ronald McDonald House's across the globe. I have heard of them and really thought they were only next to big hospitals and for terminally ill children. And that would be fine. Those kids who are so sick god knows they need all the help they can get and deserve it.
Well our son #1 needed a surgical procedure done, it was not elective and later in life could mean a great deal to him and us as a family. Yes it was painful and he will be hurting for a few days but compared to those other who were there and whose life depends on it, this was a lesser scale. My son is overall healthy happy and loved beyond belief.
But the people with Ronald McDonald charities and the Ronald McDonald house well they need to be screamed about because they are just that great.
I have new heroes in the world today and it is those who server the Ronald McDonald houses and those who support them. You see them everyday in front of the registers at every McDonald's around. Drop a dime or quarter in the slot. Well I bet they are seeing a big drop off with the advent of debit and credit cards being used at all locations. But people please find some change or bills and donate this place is more peace of mind that you can believe. Let's all step up and make sure we drop some change or bills next time we are in McDonald's.
So my son needed a procedure done and they offered the night at a Ronald McDonald house for $10. Well we are not rich we are a military family and I work from home doing remote computer work so the money gets by but not much more. So yes we accepted.
Well the people at this place are great, they gave us all the rules and liabilities and we went to our room. Was it huge, no I actually slept on the floor, we had mom and baby girl in one bed and the boys in the other and I grabbed some floor. Hey we couldn't afford $80 to $120 a night so it was great. Yeah the floor sucks but the people and what they do for you and how they treat you make up for it completely.
I played pool and ping pong with the kids the night before the surgery, they loved it and by the time it was quiet hours they were pretty much ready for bed. Morning was coming quick since we had to get up at 5:45am.
So we went to the hospital and knew we had to check out later (sorry it's not a hotel and they don't have the manpower to be at the desk at 6am to check you out). I took the younger two kids back later to check out and make sure the van was warmed up for son #1. Well then they shocked me even more.
They asked all about the younger two kids who were there and told them no kid leaves a Ronald McDonald house without a stuffed animal and a quilt (real hand made quilts too I couldn't believe it) so they picked out their animals and I picked one for the oldest who was still in recovery. His brother picked out the quilt. Then they give us 2 board games and a basket with goodies for all the kids.
Who does this now a days? No one I know of, but they believe in it there and the Ronald McDonald house and did it. All 3 kids were so happy it didn't matter where or how they slept the night before. And they invited us back in case son #1 needs a follow up later, which he does.
Amazing these people shocked and rocked my whole world.
If you have a heart and love kids at all you will contribute, I know they are now at the top of our list and yes we contribute out of every check to the charities of our choice.

I Love My Kids but they are Killing ME!
I love my kids more than anything else in this world. I mean it. I love seeing them in the morning when they first wake up and I love that they give me hugs and kisses goodnight each day. They are 5, 9, and 12 yrs old. They are all unique and they are all a hand full.
Sometimes though they just drive me up the friggin' wall and I have no escape!
Kid #1 12 yrs old - smart as can be scores unbelievably high on any test he is given but can't seem to remember to bring home or do homework! What is this all about? I mean he gets ACT (Assignment Completion Time) (otherwise known to real people as DETENTION!!!!) a few times each week. I ask if he has done his homework I check what he gives me, I check his "planner" to see what is written down (he is the one writing in it so of course not everything gets in there!!!!) but still he will lie through his teeth just to get out of 10 minutes of homework, WTF! I mean come on its not that hard and we live in ND so it's already cold as can be so just sit down and do the assignment and quit getting DETENTION!! oops I meant ACT for all those PC morons out there.
Kid #2 9 yrs old - smart as a whip. Hates doing any chores. I quiz this one on his school work or spelling and he makes me feel bad for wasting my time. How can a 9 yr old do that to a grown man? Make this kid study spelling or for a test for 15 minutes and you would think I just ran bamboo up under his fingernails! He gets them right though (uuggghhh). Ask him to do a chore anything at all, feed the dog or cats, clean his room (oh heaven forbid) or bring down his laundry and you have just declared war on a sovereign nation and he will retaliate with his full Nuclear arsenal. However if you stand in the room where said chore needs to be done he completes it cheerfully and out of sheer angst you praise him for such a good job.
Kid # 3 5 yrs old - spoiled spoiled spoiled, but I love her. This one has me wrapped around every finger on each hand, I try to be harsh when I need to, alot of good that does! I spent hours on end with her getting her ready for kindergarten flash cards, numbers, spelling, writing her name everything, address and phone number, she can recite them back to me with no problem at all then we get her report card and now she doesn't recognize letters, can't count past 5 (even though she came home and counted to 40 without missing a dang beat) and is not turning in assignments. Sounds like the 12 yr old already. Then she gets mad at me if we don't have daily snuggle time and tickle time for her. I mean she will throw down a fit the likes of which haven't been seen since Napoleon if she doesn't get her way. This little one may just one day rule the world, hope you aren't on her bad side though!
So when all is said and done, I deal with the school stuff though it confounds my mind why they can't just actually do the work and turn it in!!!!! But I love them and their quirks lets just hope I am not raising those snotty brats I put up with every time I leave the house.

The Golden Compass
Well there is another uproar about a new movie coming out. This one is The Golden Compass starring Nicole Kidman based on a series of novels by Philip Pullman. The series is titled "His Dark Materials" and contains 3 novels. The first is of course The Golden Compass. Well I actually read this series last spring. I was looking for something different to read (I tend to reread books that I really enjoy). Well one series of books is called the Inheritance Trilogy (see bottom for more information on this on). The Inheritance Trilogy is being written by a young man Christopher Paolini. I have enjoyed both of the first 2 books in the series Eragon and Eldest and impatiently waiting for the third in the series. Anyhow linked off of the web page for the Inheritance Trilogy was the page for Philip Pullman. So I looked it up and found the series and read it. It was pretty interesting though the farther this series got the less interesting it became. I had started the series and so I was determined to finish it. If what I have read about the authors intent to make kids become atheists is true then he failed pretty poorly if you ask me. They are just fictitious stories. That's how I feel about many books and stories though. Just because I read about the ancient Greek mythologies does not mean I am going to start offering blood sacrifices to Zeus or Aphrodite. They are stories and if you are so weak in your spiritual belief that a fictitious story could change your whole outlook then you do not have your faith in order to begin with.
So if the author is an atheist so be it. That is his choice, my choice is to believe that he will have to answer to the Lord our God one day for his ignorance just as we all will have to answer for everything each of us has done but I am not going to deny myself the pleasure of reading books because the storyline may not follow the writings of the Bible. One is real one is fiction. I know the difference and just because I can appreciate a well written story I do not have to follow what is written in the fiction, because that is what it is plain and simple fiction.
So what I would suggest is before everyone starts to talk about censoring movies and books you probably should at least read the books yourself and make up your own mind. You might find that it was just a story after all.
Now about the Inheritance Trilogy. Turns out it is no longer a "trilogy" but now a "cycle". I like this actually, the author realized he could create a 1200 page book to finish the trilogy or he could make a 3rd and 4th book and change it to a cycle. Well I am all for that if the last two are as good as the first 2 in the series. The one thing I hate is that all the rumors said the 3rd book would be out in the spring or fall of this year and now they are saying it will not be out until September of next year, talk about a bummer. Anyhow the series is actually listed as Juvenile Fiction but much like the Harry Potter series the books and characters and storyline have grown up quite quickly so I would have no problem suggesting you read them. The movie for Eragon however was not every good at all. Do not bother watching it. The characters and storyline and even the races of beings were changed so drastically that it was not close to the book. Anyhow here is the link for the Inheritance Cycle, I hope you enjoy it.

New TV Series
Well Chuck was a winner this week again for me. I like that show, this week with all the back and forth as to who was trying to kill Chuck was pretty good.
Cavemen on the other hand was HORRIBLE!!!!!! The wife and I started watching it and before it was half over, and it's only a 30 minute show, we decided it was just that bad and instead watched the Chuck episode DVR'ed from last night. Best decision of the night for us, what a waste of 15 minutes on Cavemen. I would be surprised if they even bring it back next week it was so bad just so very bad.
We still need to watch the pilot for Bionic Women we have on DVR and the second episode is on tomorrow night so we will probably watch it at lunch tomorrow. Gotta love those DVR's.

Michael Vick - AGAIN! and AGAIN!
Oh my what an idiot this guy has turned out to be. Michael Vick who earlier this year claimed that the hidden compartment in his water bottle was for jewelry even though it smelled like pot was given a pass on that one by the authorities in Miami.
Then he has the whole sordid affair with the dog fighting, and killing, and basically being a despicable human being or excuse for one.
Well I commented earlier in the year about what an idiot Vick was with the water bottle incident and he has gone ahead and proven me right.
Mr. Moron is basically out on bail awaiting sentencing for the federal charges concerning the dog fighting, and it was just announced he will now face state charges as well. So what does this idiot do, he goes out and burns a big ol' fatty with his boys! Yeah great idea you are trying to get as little time as possible for all the dog fighting charges and rehab your image and instead you are out smoking marijuana. What are you thinking? And knowing your behavior is being monitored by a Probation Officer and are subject to testing for alcohol and any illegal drugs and you still fire one up! You may be the dumbest person ever to live and have made Forrest Gump look like a Rhodes Scholar.
Way to go moron I can't wait to find out what your next stupid move is. My bet though is you will be jailed before your sentencing then get closer to 5 years for the charges after this slap in the face at the justice system. Have fun in those communal showers with the other thugs and scum in the joint. It will be the only joint you have anything to do with for the next 3 to 5 years is my bet.

War In Iraq
I found an article linked off of foxnews.com about the war in Iraq from an independent journalist. It was a pretty good article and piqued my interest so I clicked on the link to this journalist's website. What a good read this was, honest from his perspective and of those he interviews. I not only focused my reading on the interview with the US military members but then checked the link for his article about Iran.
Good reporting done here and not something being spun by the left or right in my opinion. What do you know a journalist who actually just reports the story without interjecting his own beliefs and shoving them down your throat.

New TV Series
It's been a couple of years since I have started to watch any new series on network TV. There have been a few new shows that have piqued my interest this year. So I made it a point to DVR them because last year I got burned. I had thought about watching Heroes but just never remembered to setup the DVR and was busy watching football probably. Well being the knuckle head I can be I waited too long to go to the NBC website to watch the episodes. I went out last week to try to catch up so I could watch season 2 but they had removed the episodes and basically said wait and buy the first season on DVD. So I decided not to do that this year.
The first one I watched was "Chuck" on NBC (on just before Heroes so it should have a shot at least of sticking around). That was a funny and action oriented show. The wife and I both enjoyed it which is saying something since we don't agree on much entertainment wise. But yeah I will be setting up "Chuck" for a season recording. That looks like a good show.
The second one was on CBS called "The Big Bang Theory" now I don't know if its time slot will be able to help with an audience for this show but I hope it does. Based on 2 science geeks who get to know a new hot neighbor with their lacking all social skills it was another laugher.
Luckily I did DVR both because they are on head to head but with DVR that's not really a problem but I hope these shows get a season to get a following because they were both good shows and not the normal crap that has been on over the last few years.

Things I Don't Give a Damn! About
Quick list of things in the news which I for one just don't give a damn about, at all not one ounce. A brief description of each to follow if necessary for clarity. So here goes:
1. OJ Simpson - please media just stop reporting this idiot altogether (if we pretend he is not here maybe he really will go away)
2. US Congress - come on now really when was the last time they actually did anything worthwhile? All they really want is face time for their next election.
3. Anna Nicole Smith - first she is dead, second didn't care what she did when she was alive.
4. Soccer - played it all while growing up, fun to play boring to watch or talk about.
5. Jesse Jackson - any black politician or black leader getting more attention than him is accused of acting white, and usually what he protests ends up being a joke factually anyhow.
6. Britney Spears - please allow the trailer trash to remain in the trailer park without photos or reporting of their inbred ways.
7. Hilary Clinton - omg the only thing worse than having to look at her is having to listen to her. at least we know why Bill cheated after seeing and hearing her.
8. Tom Cruise and Scientology - sorry but if your "religion" was started by a science fiction writer and only around for less than a century then I am not taking it too seriously.
9. Barry Bonds - you have milked your career through drugs and acting like a jerk. please retire so we can all forget about you.
10. Keith Olbermann - i know you worked at ESPN but your political crap I have to listen to during Sunday night football is irking my last nerve.
Ok so I will stop at 10, well for today at least, I reserve the right to post a new list daily with additions or subtractions as I see fit.

Illegal Immigrants
Well I have about had it with the illegal immigration problem in the USA. I have absolutely no problem with any immigrant who comes to the USA LEGALLY!!!! Notice the bold type and exclamation points here. Those who follow the rules and immigrate to this country are welcome with open arms and I will help them and patronize their business as much as possible. You scamming thieving bunch of scum who are illegal immigrants well you should be jailed for a year each then sent to the southern most tip of the country of your origin and left to fend for yourselves. Do not come here and try to steal from the citizens of this country and use our almost socialist health care system and our good graces to make a life for yourself. Fall of Rome
This is an interesting article which touches on a topic I have thought about quite often in the last 10 years or so:

Basically the article states that the USA should take a look at history because they are showing many parallels to the ultimate fall of the Roman Empire.
It is not that difficult to picture this we are over extending ourselves financially more so than anything else. We cannot allow our capitalist based system to be sucked down a hole into a socialist system with government supplied subsidies for every person in the nation, and all the illegal immigrants in the USA also.
This country was built and prospered only when we relied on ourselves to provide for our own good and the good of our families. We have become a society that cries victim at the drop of a hat and are always crying to the government to help us and dig us out of holes. That is not how it should be!
We will never be a great nation again if we do not start saying no to the welfare and health care systems they want run by the government, already there are Canadians and Europeans who come to America for medical procedures because they would have to wait years to get the same service in their country's socialist health care systems. Yes everyone may have health insurance in those countries but when you have to wait 5 years for a surgery what good is it really doing?
So basically I believe we should throttle back the government spending, the federal government should only be responsible for a strong Department of Defense, border control and a very few other things. Imagine how much they could lower the tax rate or go to a flat rate if our government was not foolishly spending tax dollars on "pork" and other useless projects.

Michael Vick - Update
Well Mr. Vick is on a slippery slope and all his "boys" have now turned on him and are giving him some massive pushes to get him rolling down that hill.
For anyone in America that has been in a cave for the last 4 months, one Michael Vick one time starting quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons of the NFL, has been charged with setting up and running a dog fighting operation on property he owned in Virginia for the last 6 years. There are also multiple animal cruelty charges.
Now when the first court appearances were made one guy who granted had a falling out with Vick turned on him in a hurry and signed a plea deal to help the prosecution. This is never a good thing. Well now two of the other charged along with Vick have changed their pleas from not guilty to guilty and are helping the prosecution. This simply means that there is now a slam dunk case against Vick, he will not beat these charges. He now has 7 solid witnesses against him in this case that are known. Mr. Vick you are in trouble and you brought it all on yourself. You chose to associate with hoods, finance and participate in an illegal venture which is also seen by civilized people as disgusting. Most of your endorsements are gone forever and you future income potential has gone from the multiple millions over a lifetime to nothing except maybe a tell all book down the line.
If Vick doesn't strike a plea deal, as it is reported they are trying to do now, more charges are set to be files against him. So already looking at 5 years with more federal charges he could end up in jail for more than 10 years. You better plea and take anything they will give you otherwise not only is it your income potential lost but all that time you will spend behind bars.
Take the 1 or 2 years they offer you and hope you can recover in the NFL, if they let you back in. Personally if you plead guilty to this they should ban you for life.
This is such a stupid thing to have done to begin with. The reports state that you started this dog fighting operation 8 weeks after signing your first NFL contract. That is 6 years of this! And after signing a deal for money most people cannot in reality imagine ever having. You are an idiot there is no excuse there is no way they did it without you knowing. This started barely after getting an NFL contract and ran for 6 years on property you owned and sent money to for running and now after that amount of time you are trying to say you didn't know about it!
I hope every kid in college who hopes to play pro football keeps an eye on this case and watches as you piss your life away in jail for the next couple of years and it wakes them up to the fact that if they are privileged enough to do something like playing a game for a living and making millions, at least they can keep out of illegal troubles.

War In Iraq
I don't know what to think right now about the war in Iraq. I believe we were justified in taking out Sadam and getting rid of his torturous regime. But I think it is time for the Iraqi people and armed forces and police to take more of the burden of security on themselves. From what the one Iraqi government official said the USA could leave anytime they want. Well I do not think a full pullout would be a good idea but we should pull out of the cities and have a few bases which missions of support for the police or Iraqi armed forces could be executed. We need to become more of an advisory and support system for the Iraqi forces and less of the front line personnel in this situation.
We also should be manning the borders with Syria and Iran and taking a hard line with any of those people who are coming into Iraq to fight with the insurgency.
I am sick of the bickering going on within the US government over the war. We made a commitment to help the new Iraq government get a strong foothold for a stable Iraq. So all the defeatists from the Democratic party should really just shut their mouths.
I know we have made a difference in Iraq and once the people are working and the economy of that nation recovers it will be a more stable country we just need to keep nudging the Iraqi people to work towards that goal and give them the chance to stand on their own two feet.

Arnold Speaks the Truth and is Now in Trouble
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger says that immigrants should turn off Spanish TV and learn English. Truer words have never been spoken for immigrants to the USA. The Governor believes that this will help them learn to speak English faster. Which it will. But of course all the immigrant groups in California are up in arms about this. Well guys the truth must hurt because if you are going to immigrate to this country you must try to fit into the culture here if you want to maintain all your cultural traditions then stay in your country of birth.
I applaud the Governor for stating something which he even said would be politically incorrect but is true. This is coming from someone who did immigrate to this country over 35 years ago and made a true effort to fit in and learn the language and do you see where he has taken himself? That's right to being the Governor of California. So all the immigrants in California listen up, you chose to come to this country now you need to stop screaming you are a victim and immerse yourself here and that includes learning the language spoken.

Michael Vick - AGAIN!
Well this moron is in the news again. I have been waiting to blog on this since I blasted the moron for the stupid run in at the airport with the pot water bottle, which the cops pretty obviously covered up quickly. I am sorry but there was residue and a distinct odor of pot in the bottle and within 3 days the Miami PD says they couldn't find any evidence? What a crock of poop that was.
Now the moron has gone and been found to own a house were we know drug dealing was going on along with dog fighting. The animals were all in bad shape and there was plenty of evidence showing conclusively that it was part of a dog fighting operation.
Well when the story first broke of course Mr. Moron Vick denied any knowledge of what was happening at the house. I figured wait we better hold back opinion until more facts are known. Well things are starting to trickle out. Some of the investigators in the case say there are eye witnesses putting Vick at the fights. Former teammates of Vick have stated publicly that they know he was involved in it.
Things are looking worse and worse for Mr. Moron. I hope the league does suspend him for at least a year if he had knowledge or was involved in any way. I hate PETA and they jumped on the throw him out of the league bandwagon before anything was known so I hate to even be on their side. But I am if he was involved he should be prosecuted and serve jail time and then be suspended by the league. But things just look bad right now.
I said before that the Falcons should have traded him and let Matt Schaub play or draft another QB during the draft but instead they put their money with someone of poor character and the Falcons are going to really be hurt for a few years in the salary cap by this idiot. They backed the wrong horse and obviously the Vick family was more worried about athleticism than they were about teaching their kids right from wrong.
So Falcons it's hard enough to be a fan but when you are standing behind someone with this poor of judgement and character it just stinks. Growing up in Atlanta I support the Falcons even though they have been one of the sorriest teams in the NFL almost their entire time in the league now to have them staying with Mr. Moron well you guys are on the shortest of leashes with my support now, cut your losses boot this idiot off the team and sign a veteran QB then draft a younger one next year.

Baby Hatch In Japan
I read the article linked first from http://www.drudgereport.com/ about the Baby Hatch which opened in a Japanese city. It will be run by a Roman Catholic hospital. Now many in the government were against this opening but could not legally stop this from happening. I am glad they could not stop this from opening.
There is enough trouble and death in this world that this is at least an option for the child to grow up and more than likely be adopted by a loving family. What other options are there, the baby gets dropped in a dumpster only to die or be aborted before the child is allowed to see the light of day even once? There are many many oh so many couples who would rush to this hospital to adopt a young infant if it were dropped off, no matter if that couple was Japanese or American or any other nationality. And the child would be loved for their life. This is such a better option than abortion or another means of death for the child by a mother who could be troubled by financial or mental health issues.
I know in China there are problems with girls being born to families due to the one child only rule. They want a boy to carry on the family. Many infant girls are aborted or killed after birth simply because they are girls. I have a little girl and I love her with all my heart, how anyone can just kill or abandon a baby girl just because it is a girl is beyond my comprehension. This child any child is a gift. People for years have pondered what the meaning of life is. It actually is a simple oh so simple answer. Have a child hold that child and look into their little eyes and you will find the meaning and purpose of life. The love of a child is the one thing in this world that is absolute. The only thing that can ever change that is by you hurting that child. The love of a child is the most pure and wonderful feeling a person can ever experience.
So yes open this baby hatch the child will live and anyone who shows this child or children love will experience the one truth in the world the love of that child.

Books I need Books Please
Ok I have read all the books I own about 3-4 times each, some of them even more than that. I am looking for some new books to read, well new as in some I have not read before. I have a wide range of reading topics I enjoy.
So any ideas would be appreciated. I have read the Tom Clancy Jack Ryan series all the way through, Dan Brown's four books, the first 2 in the Christopher Paolini Inheritance Trilogy (Eragon and Eldest), the Left Behind series, and the Harry Potter series. I like series of books where the characters grow and evolve throughout a series as you can tell. There are quite a few others but I don't want to list them all.
So any ideas on some good books would be great or if someone is in publishing and just needs a proof reader I usually find errors in each book I read so look me up.

Barry Bonds - What a joke!
I do not get the whole big deal with Barry Bonds. Now I am a big sports fan, I follow football, Nascar, baseball, and golf on a regular basis. Is there anyone out there that actually still believes that Barry Bonds has not used steroids over the last 10 to 15 years? I watch a good bit of ESPN and some of the talk shows and somehow people still say "Where is the proof that he took steroids?" Are you blind? Google Barry Bonds and find pictures of his rookie card and his current one, or especially about 3 years ago. Now I am sorry but I will not recognize Barry Bonds ever as the Home Run champion, to me that is now Hank Aaron and will be until someone who is not obviously built on designer drugs passes Hank.
There was a poll which ESPN touted stating that the break down of fans who want Bonds to break the home run record. Turns out white people don't want him too and african american people do want him to. I am white but you know what? I do not want Mark McGuire's record allowed to stand or anything Jason Giambi does or Sammy Sosa or Rafael Palmiero. So there you go I guess I am an equal opportunity hater it has nothing to do with the race of the person it has to do with the fact that these people cheated plain and simple. The only one I have any respect at all for is Jason Giambi who actually tried to take some responsibility for his actions though he was really careful not to be specific but at least it wasn't the lame crap McGuire and Palmiero put forth before Congress.
These guys are cheaters and they should not be in a record book or the Hall of Fame they should be in jail. Because each time one of these guys used steroids it was illegal plain and simple it doesn't matter if they bought them or someone got the drugs for them once introduced to their bodies they broke the law and should not be allowed to continue to profit from illegal activities.

Now I am sorry but I will not recognize Barry Bonds ever as the Home Run champion, to me that is now Hank Aaron and will be until someone who is not obviously built on designer drugs passes Hank.
There was a poll which ESPN touted stating that the break down of fans who want Bonds to break the home run record. Turns out white people don't want him too and african american people do want him to. I am white but you know what? I do not want Mark McGuire's record allowed to stand or anything Jason Giambi does or Sammy Sosa or Rafael Palmiero. So there you go I guess I am an equal opportunity hater it has nothing to do with the race of the person it has to do with the fact that these people cheated plain and simple. The only one I have any respect at all for is Jason Giambi who actually tried to take some responsibility for his actions though he was really careful not to be specific but at least it wasn't the lame crap McGuire and Palmiero put forth before Congress.
These guys are cheaters and they should not be in a record book or the Hall of Fame they should be in jail. Because each time one of these guys used steroids it was illegal plain and simple it doesn't matter if they bought them or someone got the drugs for them once introduced to their bodies they broke the law and should not be allowed to continue to profit from illegal activities.

Here is a great story of a man of principal. It seems OJ Simpson was in Kentucky for the Derby this past weekend and took his entourage out to an upscale steak house for a meal. The owner got disgusted by the way people were reacting to OJ as if he were some kind of star so he walked right over and told OJ "I'm not serving you." At least OJ found some decency and told him that he and his party would leave. Way to go Jeff Ruby, it is about time someone took a moral stand. The OJ trial was a joke and there was more than enough evidence to lock him up for life the fact that he walks around flaunting his escape from justice at every turn is disgusting and I am glad someone finally took a moral stand and told him to take a hike. Makes me wish I had the money to take a trip to Louisville, KY and have a meal in his steak house just to support him.

Taxpayer Dollars Working their Hardest

Cash and Treasures
Why is it that every time there is a good show on TV that I enjoy it gets cancelled? I mean I am not one who goes in for the blood guts and gore, or the oh my someone else has been kidnapped story line each week.
There is a show on TLC (Travel Channel) called Cash and Treasures. It is a fun show with a great host that shows you were you can go and dig or pick ax some treasures from the ground and get some actually money from them. I have watched every episode of this show.
Now I think TLC has cancelled this show already. This is sad just friggin sad. I good show that is entertaining and fun and even a great idea for a family vacation just is going to get put off the air for nothing more than lack of blood guts and gore, this is a great show you guys are killing TLC and you should really think hard about it before you scuttle the whole idea.

Sports WTF Guys
OK i have a pet peeve with sports stars, teams and in general these snooty overpaid so called athletes. OK NASCAR is not for everyone but I enjoy it. They have like 3 or 4 weekends off each year, well it so happens they take two of these weekends in the first 2 months of an eleven month season. As if that is not enough I am watching opening day baseball, Atlanta Braves fan here even from the horrible horrible gawd awful days when they stunk, and they start the season with a 3 game series against the Phillies. They play one friggin game then get a day off before their 2nd and 3rd games. Why do these people need this time off this early in the season? I mean NASCAR one or two weeks into the season and the Braves play one game then a day off.
You guys ever think about working everyday? There is a novel notion. This takes me to the NFL I am tired of the bye week. Some teams get it the 3rd week into the season. Why not instead of you're tired old Pro Bowl which no one watches in Hawaii after the season is over if you want a bye week call 2 weeks in the middle of the season and have the best players play then. And maybe have the winning team, AFC or NFC get home field advantage in the Super Bowl coin toss, maybe even the city where it is held, make it worth something worth giving a DAMN about.
These PLAYERS get enough money live a life long after football, baseball or racing try actually bringing some thing we like and doing it everyday or at least play a friggin month then take a day off instead of this spoiled brat life style you are pushing on us.

Partisan Politics
Someone in a stop and shop said the other day while watching TV about the Attorney General Scandal about Partisan Politics. Now this struck me and hard. Whether you are a Democrat or a Republican in this country all politics are partisan. This is the biggest problem in this country (the USA) today. Instead of sending men or women to represent the constituents they instead represent their "PARTY" what a joke. I mean come on the biggest problem in DC right now is that all these idiots do is vote on party lines, do their idiot investigations which come to nothing but wasting money, and vote themselves pay raises. Oh there I am wrong in their infinite wisdom an earlier congress set up the raises to automatically happen every DAMN year unless they vote against it. What a crock that is. These are mostly millionaires already making more money with a better health plan and retirement plan than any industry in the world today. Those soldiers dying in Iraq and Afghanistan everyday and getting maimed for life will never get the type of medical care that some moron Congressman or Senator will get for life for serving 4 to 6 years, which is what each and every one should have to serve in jail for what they pass as legislation during their terms in the legislative branch. They are scum and unless a radical change is made always will be scum and vote only on party lines or where they get the most "pork" for their district. They are jokes, and everything they have done since WWII has been a joke. They are willing to turn our nation into a socialist nation within the next 10 years if there is not a change. This country has become great and a world power because of the fact that those who succeed have fought for what they have and worked their way to the top. Now the legislative branch along with the help of the executive and judicial branches want to take away property and profits and send them to everyone in the country. I am sorry if you don't earn it it is not yours and you do not deserve it. Welfare, food stamps and other social programs should be only for a limited time and not a way of life. Instead the branches of government use this as a tool to keep the people of this nation at their beck and call. This is absurd and disgusting.

$38 Billion - OOPS!
Wow now here is a big time OOPS. Seems an IT (Information Technology) techie accidentally wiped out the primary and backup drives of a system which held the information for a $38 billion oil funded account in Alaska. Man you think this guy still has a job? They said no one pointed any fingers and there was no witch hunt but dang how could someone not lose their job over this one? That guy should have flown to Vegas with his life saving and put it all on the line with that kind of luck.

Fired US Attorneys
So Attorney General Alberto Gonzales is being called on to resign. It seems he found that 8 US attorneys have not been doing their jobs at all much less to the low standards set by the Bush Administration. So this is horrible and political and just such a disgrace oh my oh my oh the humanity!!!!!! How dare he!!!! What a horrible man anyone who would fire 8 attorneys for not doing their jobs what an Anti-Christ!!! He is evil and should be tarred and feathered. But WAIT!!!! HOLD ON!!! Just a SEC!!!! More news now.
It seems that President (and I use that term as loose as possible) Clinton and then Attorney General Janet Reno (remember Elian Gonazalez) decided they would fire all, yeah that's right ALL!!!!! , 93 US attorneys and replace them with the hacks we have had to deal with the last 12 years. But now Attorney General Alberto Gonazles wants 8 of them replaced and it is such a horror and disgraceful. You bunch of hypocrite democrats try growing a set and standing behind your stand for more than just politics and then maybe the rest of America will actually listen to you before voting, IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Global Warming - What a Charade
There is something everyday in the news about Global Warming and the dire affects that we as a race are damaging our environment. This is the very trendy position to have. I for one think it is a load of bull. If you look back throughout history the Earth has continuously gone through periods of warming, cooling and extreme warming and extreme cooling over and over again. But today the in thing to do is to rail against the industrial age and our wastefulness saying that we as a race are a cause of global warming. If you look at the facts and look at some of the previous doomsayers you come to realize that this is another pattern we are currently in not the end of the world as Al Gore and his fellow junk scientists would have you believe.
First the current state is supposed to be the warmest on record but just today we have this from the US government agency:

So this past February was the 34 coolest in 113 years on record.
Then we have the truth that our weather on Earth is more related to the activity of the sun than anything we do here on Earth. Anyone who doubts the power the Sun puts out and the ability it has to dictate our weather and living patterns is living in a fairy tale.

Heroes
Heroes, what is a Hero to me? Well a Hero to me is someone I admire, respect and believe their actions are worthy of being noted. Who are my heroes? Well I am a sports fanatic but with very few exceptions there aren't many heroes in sports. I will include a link about one hero at the end of this post you can read about him and enjoy his story too.
My Heroes, first obviously my Father, he prepared me for life like many fathers do not these days. Second my wife, yes my wife, why? She serves in the US armed forces, for over 10 years now. See she wanted and had planned to serve before we met, I told her at the time that if she ever wanted to serve to tell me and we would work through it. Almost 2-3 years into our marriage she said she still wanted to. I said "I hate my job and I don't like the city we live in so let's do it." So she enlisted and for over 10 years I have followed her across the USA as she serves this country, so she is my hero before 9-11 and after she never falters in her job or belief in what she does.
Who are my other Heroes? Those that server honorably with her. The men and women of the US Armed Services, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Army, and Coast Guard. Yes I know the Coast Guard is under Homeland Security now but they protect our shores and get little glory, they fight drug dealers, rescue sailors and others in trouble and are there when called upon like during hurricane Katrina. These are my heroes, my friends and neighbors. Jeff my brother in law here in ND, Glenn here in ND, Dan in Korea, Kelly at Altus, Al in Germany, Tommy in Texas, and many many more. Those who do not deal with military families everyday do not understand the workload these people work under. Yeah if lucky they get all the federal holidays off. But most people do not know how long these people work everyday at their jobs. Many work 10 hours most days then there are exercises which means 13 hour days for 1-2 weeks at a time including weekends. And guess what? No overtime, little if any comp time they just go and work and keep the peace and fight in wars and die without thought from many Americans and others throughout the world who are free today because of the sacrifice of all those who serve. These people take on year long tours away from families and friends and 3-4 month temporary duty assignments away from families to serve and maintain the always ready status of our military. Kelly just finished a year away from his family, and Dan is serving one now. Imagine that being half a world away from your wife or husband and kids for a year. Do you know how much a child can change in a year? Can you fathom that? But they do it does it bother them, I am sure it does but they don't quit and the families make do without that loved one until they return. So on top of the military members I will include their spouses, and especially the kids because think about the sacrifice they make being without mom or dad or both for a year. I know one family the father was in Korea for a year then the wife got orders to serve in Afghanistan the tours over lapped, another family took in the children for 2 months until the father got home. And it was more than a year because the mother had to go for extra training before being deployed for the year so it was more along the lines of 14 months away from the family. Think about that when you sip your coffee today.
These are my Heroes always have been always will be. If you see a service member thank them buy them a latte or soda because the pay ain't that great trust me. They just trudge on day after day and stand guard on our shores, land and overseas so that we can sleep at night and send our kids to school and watch our Super Bowls. Don't be surprised if they refuse the latte or soda but insist anyway they are a PROUD bunch!

"Pacman" Jones today's Stupid Athlete
Well today's Stupid Athlete award goes to "Pacman" Jones, cornerback for the Tennessee Titans. Now this is the 4th time Mr. Jones has been around an "illegal" or disruptive situation in his 2 years in the NFL. But this time it is just the ultimate stupidity by Mr. Jones.
It seems he was in Las Vegas over the weekend for the NBA All Star gala. So Mr. Jones is hanging out with the rapper Nellie (don't know or care if that is spelled correctly) at a local strip club. Strip club by the way means a place where people, usually and predominantly women, take part or all of their clothes off for money. Hey like it or not it is a business but all that matters here is that you understand what a strip club is.

It seems he was in Las Vegas over the weekend for the NBA All Star gala. So Mr. Jones is hanging out with the rapper Nellie (don't know or care if that is spelled correctly) at a local strip club. Prince Harry of England going to Iraq
It is really refreshing to see the attitude and fortitude displayed by Prince Harry of England on his stance on fighting in Iraq. If you do not know he has basically demanded that he be allowed to accompany his men to Iraq. Here is a quote from Prince Harry, "There's no way I'm going to put myself through Sandhurst and then sit on my arse back home while my boys are out fighting for their country." It gives me a good feeling to have someone who could hide behind his title and family place and money and get out of something like a war but instead says that he would rather resign than be denied his duty to lead his men.

Muslim Terrorist in the USA - Utah
Ok when I first heard a teenager had gone through a mall in Utah and started shooting the first thing that came to mind was of Columbine. I read the articles then after about 2 days it was mentioned in one that this teenager was from Bosnia, well a red flag flew up and almost poked my eye out. I thought could this be the work of a Muslim extremist? No mention for a while then Neal Boortz mentioned it on his website that yes this was an immigrant from Bosnia who was a Muslim that just so happened to open fire in a mall and kill Americans. So I have been stewing about this ever since and found only the anecdotal writings about this connection. Finally Josh Gibson of Fox News has spoken out in the national media let's see if he gets fried or if people actually wake up and realize what these terrorists are doing. They are now in America and will surely start more and more random shootings and my bet is homicide bombings. My question is how long until the media and government actually admit what is happening and we realize that they have moved on from Israel with these tactics and are now going to start operating in the USA.

National Guard on Border in Arizona
Well it seems some National Guardsmen who were on patrol in Arizona were attacked by a group of illegal aliens who were heavily armed and rushed them. Since the guardsmen are under orders to watch, not apprehend, not fire their weapons they then conducted a tactical retreat. Now Congress wants to know why they did. Maybe they should ask the 2 Border Patrol agents who are now serving 11 and 12 years for shooting a drug smuggler in the BUTT why these fine soldiers obeyed orders. On one hand we have 2 Border Patrol agents who did their duty fought an armed drug smuggling scum and chased him back across the border and now are serving prison terms and on the other hand you have 4 guardsmen who were being attacked by 12 illegal immigrants who were heavily armed. So now they should have shot? So what they could end up on trial because they would have killed all 12 if they had opened fire! And go to prison? The legal system set this entire problem up when they prosecuted two agents for doing their job and now Congress is surprised that others will not do what these 2 agents did in Texas?

Insomnia Fix
Well they have now found a fix for insomnia, I actually have known about this for a while but could not stand the side affects so I have avoided it. The cure for insomnia is "Hillary Clinton" try listening to her, she doesn't even believe what she says, the side effects are that after seeing one picture of her you find that you are incapable of blocking it out while listening to her pointless nattering. For me that was just too disturbing and I feared it also might cause impotence so therefore I will just live with the insomnia.

Internet Gambling Ban
The US Congress last October tacked on a bill to an Anti-terrorism bill which effectively bans online gambling. Now I do not believe the government should be telling people what they can and cannot do with their money in this way. First of all many, the majority of states, have some type of gambling whether it is the lottery, horse racing, dog racing, or casinos on and off Native American lands. This bill however was pushed specifically for the purpose of shutting down Internet poker sites. The bill somehow also managed to have loop holes in it for online horse racing bets. So it's fine to bets on a horse race but if you want to put up your own money to play a game of Blackjack or Texas Hold 'Em you can now be prosecuted for a Class C felony.
Now I do play poker online but it is at a site where you have chips, not cash. Basically pretend money. But I do not believe the government should on one hand endorse gambling, lotteries, casinos and cities such as Las Vegas, Atlantic City, All over Mississippi and Louisiana then turn around and say that you cannot wager the same money from home on your own computer that you paid for and over an Internet connection you also paid for.
Yes I understand that some people have gambling problems but that is not an issue which should be related across the board to everyone who wants to participate online. Those with problem must either recognize they have a problem or someone close who cares about them must intervene and help them see their problem. But because some people cannot control their urges does not mean everyone should have to stop this form of entertainment.

This is one step closer to becoming a socialist regime instead of a free republic, and yes it is a Republic not a Democracy if you do not understand the difference let me know and I will point you in the right direction for information on the differences.

Border Patrol Agents
Ok hopefully everyone has heard this story if not please pay close attention and follow the link I enter at the bottom of this RANT! for more details.
February 17, 2006 Border Patrol Agents in Texas notice a suspicious van at the border they go to investigate and the guy starts to flee, turns out he is a drug smuggler who has 800 lbs of marijuana in the van. Well there are shots fired but the illegal immigrant escapes into a waiting van and flees the scene. The agents didn't believe they had made any hits with their shots so they along with 7 other agents 2 of which were supervisors wrapped it up and headed home. Later the Department of Homeland Security gets a call notifying them that the illegal immigrant was shot in the BUTT so of course they start an investigation. Now the original action by the Border Patrol Agents and their supervisors was not completed as procedure is spelled out so that is wrong yes but without evidence at the scene that a shot had hit and the coward drug smuggling illegal immigrant scampering back across the border you would think this would be a dead issue, too bad really because if there had been a body the report would have been filed and these two agents would be getting medals for protecting the border from this scum.
Instead they have now prosecuted and jailed the 2 agents who first responded.
Is anyone else out there reading this and saying WHAT???? Did the prosecutors smoke some of this weed and what about the jury who found them guilty. This is another reason a border fence is needed to keep out the illegal immigrants, drug smugglers, and terrorists trying daily to get into this country.
And before anyone starts whining that this is a country of immigrants I will agree completely, but there is a process involved in LEGALLY IMMIGRATING to the USA follow that and I will welcome you with open arms and help in any way possible your transition to this great nation. If you are going to crawl across a border and drag a bag of drugs with you though you should at least be shot in the BUTT!!!!
I will have more to say about this as this situation continues. These men should have been acquited or not even charged and if that cannot be changed then President Bush should prove what he says about Border Security and pardon both agents.

Michael Vick???? Update
Oh so now they are not going to prosecute Michael Vick. Quick recap, Michael Vick quarterback (they say) for the Atlanta Falcons in the NFL was stopped last week in the Miami Airport. Seems Mr. Vick (you know he has never flown on a plane or been through airport security even though he travels half the time for his job) tried to carry a bottle of water through airport security. Well this is not allowed any longer and then he did not want to surrender the bottle. Well this just set off all the bells and whistles in heads of the airport security workers. So they take and bottle and find a SECRET compartment in it behind the label. Inside the notice a residue and aroma which strongly indicates pot, weed, marijuana. Well big story then after the authorities say it will be weeks before they know what is in the compartment they somehow magically make the bureaucratic process approach the speed of light and come back in what 4 days to say that it was not pot and no charges will be filed.
BIG QUESTION HERE : Who in the country has a use for a secret compartment in a water bottle? Then this person doesn't want to surrender the bottle for inspection oh yeah this has the fingerprint of innocence all over it. I still say WHAT A MORON!!!
Now there have been rumors of a trade this week from the Falcons to the Raiders, you know who the Falcons would get in return????? Randy Moss, the very model for a modern model citizen right there, I mean he only tries to run over traffic officers with his car. The NFL should expand to one more team located at a Federal Penitentiary and send all these wonderfully gifted individuals for a long term get away. Though there are so many malcontents in sports now a days this team would probably win the Championship.

State of the Union Address
Well I am a bad American, I cannot watch the State of the Union Address on TV tonight. I have watched them for quite a few years and I cannot stand to see the deer in the headlights look from most of the Democrats while President Bush is speaking. I mean the whole idea for the Democrats the past number of years has to been to criticize everything from the Republican administration. No new ideas no help or bipartisanship just petty bickering and the Democrats ignoring any idea put forth by the President without actually thinking to see if it is feasible. So instead I will read the transcript and wait for the Youtube clips of the disgusted faces of Democrats, Hillary especially, then post more of what I think about the President's plans and statements.
Characters from Books to Movies
Ok so we saw Eragon this weekend. As I said before it overall was an ok movie. I have a problem with how the lead female character was portrayed. Now I am no feminist here by any means but is there something in Hollywood which states that any strong female character from a good book must be turned into a toady and lackey for the lead male character once the story hits the big screen?
In the book Eragon Arya (an Elfish princess) is strong willed of few words spoken and very distant when dealing with normal men. She is a fierce warrior and powerful magician. In the movie she is pushed into the role of fawning all over Eragon and following him around like she has a crush on him. It is completely opposite in the book, there she rebuffs Eragon romantically and would never follow a regular man and grovel like she did in the movie. This leads me to another character in a recent movie, this one a blockbuster, who was treated in the same fashion.
The DaVince Code, based on the novel by Dan Brown, did the same thing with the lead female. Sophie Neveu a noted cryptologist and independent as can be in the book is resigned to whining to Tom Hanks and again becoming the toady and tag a long to Robert Langdon. In the book she almost uses the character Robert Langdon to find the murderer of her Grand Father. In the book it seems like he has to drag her along to find out the secret of the Holy Grail.
Why does Hollywood have to change the actual characters and who they are for the movies. Other examples of this also come from the DaVince Code. First of all the Bishop Aringarosa did not know that the albino monk Silas was murdering people on the Teacher's behalf, in the movie he actually endorses this (no wonder the church was so upset about the movie). Then the Detective Fache figured out what was going on and was trying to save Sophie Neveu and Robert Langdon but in the movie he seemed to be hunting them to try and save Opus Dei.
I mean come on Hollywood there is a reason a book becomes a best seller and that is because the storyline is well written and the characters and their roles become vital to the outcome of the story. So stop changing who the characters are, I understand you may have to tweak the storyline to fit it into a reasonable amount of time but that does not mean you have to destroy the relationship between the book and the movie.

Eragon Movie Review
Well I took the boys to see Eragon at the base theater on Friday night. Before we get to the movie let me just make a few notes on behavior at movie theaters. First if you have an infant in a car seat who cannot situp and watch and enjoy the movie HIRE A BABYSITTER!!!! I do not want to hear a baby cry throughout the movie. Also if you are already bringing an infant to the theater at least have the courtesy to turn off your cell phone or leave it at home!!! Do some people just say hey lets see how annoying we can be in the theater to ruin everyone else's movie time. Also all you little teens and pre teens it is not proper movie theater behavior to get up 8 or 9 times during a movie to run to the lobby, the only excuse for this is a flu bug and if you are sick STAY HOME!!!!
Now the movie. While it was not exactly as the book they did a nice job and the battle scene near the end was pretty cool for special effects. A fun movie and enjoyed by the kids too overall. I mean would it have taken that much to put some pointy ears on her? Michael Vick????
Are you kidding me this moron tries to sneak a water bottle which has a "secret" compartment with pot residue in it through airport security!!!! How long has it been since anyone was allowed to take outside drinks on an airplane? At least a few months and here is this moron trying to sneak one on with pot in it. I have been an Atlanta Falcons fan my whole life but I have regretted them drafting this idiot for 6 years. We could have have LT instead of San Diego getting him, at least someone who has some class and actually helps his team win on a consistent basis. Hopefully there was a morality clause in his contract and they can void it out re-sign him for a lot less then trade him away to a team that doesn't mind criminal behavior, the Bengals and Raiders come to mind immediately. He is not an NFL quarterback and between him infecting a young women with herpes, flipping off the fans in the Georgia Dome and now this we now see who the real Michael Vick is ship him out NOW!!!!!
Movie Night
Well I am off to see the movie Eragon with my 2 boys tonight. I have read the book (3 times) and from the trailers it looks already like the really changed the story line. Hopefully I can put that out of my mind and keep an open mind to see if the movie is ok. The book was really good and written by a kid of 15 years old, Christopher Paolini. He also has finished the second book Eldest in the Alagaesia Trilogy. Eldest was an even better written book than Eragon. So lets hope the movie at least does some justice.

Welcome to my corner of the internet
Well hello to all who manage to find this place. Just starting out to have a place to do some venting and celebrating of all the things in life.
You can expect to find things that happen and have happened to me during my lifetime along with my opinions on different subject ranging from politics to sports to just how crazy my kids can drive me some times. I have 3 kids 12, 8, and 4 years old. They are all different and I love them all dearly but sometimes I think they are plotting and betting on just who can drive Dad the craziest each day. It's a toss up but you can always count on one of them stepping up to the plate and driving a line drive right through my forehead.
