Well it's finally over Mr. Vick has been sentenced to 23 months for his role in being the crime boss for a dog fighting ring. Considering the other sentences for those involved I feel it is appropriate. Though if you were to check out the comments on any of the sports sites you would think that this was nothing other than a race issue and Mr. Vick was being railroaded.
I couldn't disagree more. Let's just actually look at the facts of the case:
1. He started this operation 6 years ago after signing his first contract with the Falcons. (6 YEARS AGO!!!!)
2. When confronted by the authorities, he continually lied to the authorities, during interviews with the media, the Falcons and the commissioner of the NFL Roger Goodell.
3. There were 2 co-defendants who implicated Vick of participating in the killing of under performing dogs.
4. There is a history of bad behavior from Vick. Infecting a women with herpes without telling her he had it, while using an alias in the relationship. The dope scented water bottle at the Miami airport. And now the dog fighting charges, which he plead guilty too!
5. He failed a drug tested and admitted using marijuana while out on bail awaiting his trial and sentencing. (kind of makes it look like even more of a cover up there in Miami now doesn't it!)
I said in an earlier post that if he is found guilty he should be thrown out of the NFL for good. After cooling off I am going to change this though. Once out of the poky if Vick actually show remorse does some donating to the Humane Society or ASPCA (NOT PETA!!!!!) and maybe does some public service work for the Humane Society or ASPCA (NOT PETA!!!!) then it should be at the discretion of the league and the commissioner whether he deserves another chance at playing. Truthfully I never expected the case to go this far, I was expecting some cop out from the legal system as so often happens with celebrities now a days. But he was given a fair sentence so once his time is served and if some team wants that baggage then they should feel free to sign him to a contract, though they have to realize the protests which will occur by PETA (MORONS!!!!) if he ever is signed.
I hope he does take the time to realize and learn from his mistakes and that he comprehends the unbelievable fall he has take from grace. Maybe, just maybe he will wake up turn his life around and contribute to society. If he makes amends and supports those groups working to stop something like dog fighting that would be a huge step. And if he makes it back to the NFL after that then I say let him be and let him play and earn a living at it. Somewhere, sometime, there has to be a story of someone turning their life around after a mistake and this would be a good lesson for the younger players about how not to get into trouble and if they do how to work their way back into the folds of society.

Michael Vick - AGAIN! and AGAIN!
Oh my what an idiot this guy has turned out to be. Michael Vick who earlier this year claimed that the hidden compartment in his water bottle was for jewelry even though it smelled like pot was given a pass on that one by the authorities in Miami.
Then he has the whole sordid affair with the dog fighting, and killing, and basically being a despicable human being or excuse for one.
Well I commented earlier in the year about what an idiot Vick was with the water bottle incident and he has gone ahead and proven me right.
Mr. Moron is basically out on bail awaiting sentencing for the federal charges concerning the dog fighting, and it was just announced he will now face state charges as well. So what does this idiot do, he goes out and burns a big ol' fatty with his boys! Yeah great idea you are trying to get as little time as possible for all the dog fighting charges and rehab your image and instead you are out smoking marijuana. What are you thinking? And knowing your behavior is being monitored by a Probation Officer and are subject to testing for alcohol and any illegal drugs and you still fire one up! You may be the dumbest person ever to live and have made Forrest Gump look like a Rhodes Scholar.
Way to go moron I can't wait to find out what your next stupid move is. My bet though is you will be jailed before your sentencing then get closer to 5 years for the charges after this slap in the face at the justice system. Have fun in those communal showers with the other thugs and scum in the joint. It will be the only joint you have anything to do with for the next 3 to 5 years is my bet.

Michael Vick - AGAIN!
Well this moron is in the news again. I have been waiting to blog on this since I blasted the moron for the stupid run in at the airport with the pot water bottle, which the cops pretty obviously covered up quickly. I am sorry but there was residue and a distinct odor of pot in the bottle and within 3 days the Miami PD says they couldn't find any evidence? What a crock of poop that was.
Now the moron has gone and been found to own a house were we know drug dealing was going on along with dog fighting. The animals were all in bad shape and there was plenty of evidence showing conclusively that it was part of a dog fighting operation.
Well when the story first broke of course Mr. Moron Vick denied any knowledge of what was happening at the house. I figured wait we better hold back opinion until more facts are known. Well things are starting to trickle out. Some of the investigators in the case say there are eye witnesses putting Vick at the fights. Former teammates of Vick have stated publicly that they know he was involved in it.
Things are looking worse and worse for Mr. Moron. I hope the league does suspend him for at least a year if he had knowledge or was involved in any way. I hate PETA and they jumped on the throw him out of the league bandwagon before anything was known so I hate to even be on their side. But I am if he was involved he should be prosecuted and serve jail time and then be suspended by the league. But things just look bad right now.
I said before that the Falcons should have traded him and let Matt Schaub play or draft another QB during the draft but instead they put their money with someone of poor character and the Falcons are going to really be hurt for a few years in the salary cap by this idiot. They backed the wrong horse and obviously the Vick family was more worried about athleticism than they were about teaching their kids right from wrong.
So Falcons it's hard enough to be a fan but when you are standing behind someone with this poor of judgement and character it just stinks. Growing up in Atlanta I support the Falcons even though they have been one of the sorriest teams in the NFL almost their entire time in the league now to have them staying with Mr. Moron well you guys are on the shortest of leashes with my support now, cut your losses boot this idiot off the team and sign a veteran QB then draft a younger one next year.
